Nello Surf Contest 2012

"Neanche a Uluwatu..."

Jodhpur - The kid in the blue city

Jodhpur, The Blue City.
This little kid proved me once more that I'm no braveheart.

Walking through narrow streets, climbing steep stairs in the old city of Jodhpur we got lost.

Throughout India no dog had ever done us any harm. Most of them sleep anywhere they can or just randomly walk around trying to find some free and easy food.
But that day two pyedogs approached us and started barking, they looked somehow hostile and hungry: we were no snack for them that for sure, but we were in their territory and you never know.
We stopped, pretending to look somewhere else, the dogs weren't stupid enough to call our bluff. They came towards us and challenged us. They wanted food, nothing more.
As stupid as it sounds we didn't know what to do... we didn't have food nor water.

At that point our saviour arrived... this little kid started shouting and gently kicked the dogs away from us.

Incredible India
